TRASH AND RECYCLING ROUTES

Residents who wish to continue participation or begin participation in the recycling program must sign up with the City of Fruita. Click here to obtain a copy of the recycling sign up form.  The form is available on the Documents and Forms page. The following are dividing lines for the new pick up days for trash and recycling services. A trash pick up route map and a recycling calendar are available for your use by clicking on the appropriate link or going to the Documents and Forms page.

Trash Collection Routes

North of Aspen Avenue and East of Maple Street - Monday

South of Aspen Avenue (including South of I-70) - Tuesday

North of Aspen Avenue and West of Maple Street - Wednesday

 

Recycling Routes

West of 18 Road and North of I-70 - Every other Wednesday beginning on January 4, 2005

East of 18 Road and South of I-70 - Every other Wednesday beginning on January 11, 2005

 


SEWER  RATE CHANGES - EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2007

Monthly charges for sewer  service increased January 1, 2007.  These increases will be reflected on the January 2007 bill which you receive in February.  Sewer rates for a single family residence will increase to $16.00 per month. Trash services will remain $10.75 per month.  


CITIZEN SURVEY RESULTS

In October 2007, the City of Fruita conducted a community survey to determine resident attitudes regarding public services, city policies and future growth.  Survey questionnaires were mailed to each City household (4,632) and 1,088 (23%) were completed.  A copy of the 2007 City of Fruita Citizen Survey can be found in the Citizen Survey Summary Report.

AUTOMATIC UTILITY BILL PAYMENTS AVAILABLE FOR MONTHLY CITY OF FRUITA UTILITY BILL 

The City of Fruita is pleased to offer you a new service - the Direct Payment Plan. Now you can have your payment made automatically from your checking or savings account. The Direct Payment Plan will help you in several ways: It saves time with fewer checks to write and saves postage, It helps meet your commitment in a convenient and timely manner - even if you’re on vacation or out of town. No late charges. It’s easy to sign up for, easy to cancel

Here is how the Direct Payment Plan works: You authorize regularly scheduled payments to be made from your checking or savings accounts. Your payments will be made automatically on the specified day. Proof of payment will appear on your monthly utility bill. The authority you give to charge your accounts will remain in effect until you notify us in writing to terminate the authorization. If the amount of your payment changes, we will notify you at least 10 days before the payment date. To take advantage of this service, complete the ACH form and return it to the City of Fruita, Finance Department.
