FINANCE DEPARTMENT


The Administration Department includes the City Clerk's Office, Financial Administration and Information Technology. The Department includes a staff of 5 full time employees and 1 part time employee. Margaret Steelman serves as both the City Clerk and Finance Director.  The City Clerk's office maintains official records of the City, conducting elections, administering licenses and serves as Clerk to the City Council. The Finance program provides the accounting, budgeting, utility billing, payroll and investing for the City. FINANCE Information
Budget Document The Fruita Council annually adopts a budget for the City of Fruita.  The budget sets for the work program for the City of Fruita for the upcoming year and includes operational expenses, capital projects and debt service. 
Utility Billing - Owner Agreement Form An Owner Agreement Form is required to be completed prior to transferring a utility account into a rentor's name.
Utility Billing - Senior Citizen Property Tax Rebate Application The City of Fruita provides a rebate on a portion of City of Fruita property taxes for senior citizens meeting income and other eligibility requirements.
Utility Billing - Direct Payment Authorization Utility Billing customers may sign up for a direct debit from their bank account to make monthly utility payments
Recycling Calendar for 2007 Recycling services are provided to citizens of Fruita at no additional charge. Recyclable materials are picked up every two weeks on Wednesday based on the service address. A copy of the 2007 Recycle Calendar can be printed from this link. A Recycle Service Request form must be completed to sign up for these services.

Senior Citizen Sewer and Trash Reduced Rate Application The City of Fruita has a reduced rate for trash and sewer services available for residents meeting both income and age eligibility requirements.  A copy of the application should be completed and returned to the Finance Office.
